Chapter One: Green Markers
Lindsey's P.O.V.
I grabbed the green marker and layed on my stomach. Setting the huge poster board in front of me, I opened the marker. "S-a-v-e T-h-e T-r-e-e-s!" I said as I wrote it in my curvy handwriting. "So, your's in save the trees, Bonnie's is go green, what is mine supposed to be?!" Jamie, my fifteen year old best friend said outrageously. I laughed, flipping my dark red hair over my shoulder. "How are we supposed to know? It can say whatever you can think of to support going green."
Bonnie looked up from her poster and said, "What about, 'Save The Animals' or something. You love animals." Jamie shrugged and sat, thinking. I drew a tree on my poster board. I suppose I should introduce myself, huh? My name is Lindsey Leanne Cannon, the one with dark red hair and hazel eyes. Part of the "Tree huggers" (what most people call Jamie, Bonnie, and I at school.) group. I am a huge believer of going green. I mean, if we don't do anything now, what could happen by the time we turn thirty?
"Where are we going today?" Jamie asked, still looking down at her blank posterboard. Bonnie shrugged as I said, "Didn't we plan to go to some CD signing down at the Verizon Store? Isn't it a Jonas Brothers one? A bunch of people will be there. We can have a huge effect there." Jamie nodded excitedly.
"Who knows? Mayyyyyybe even the Jonas Brothers will support us!" she said, "That would be awesome! If they went green, it would get spread all over magazines!" I shrugged. "Stop being such a pessimest!(sp?)" Bonnie shoved her green marker at me, marking on my arm. I sat up. "Oh, I see Miss Bonnie Robin here is trying to start a marker fight!" I drew a line on her arm. She drew on me again. Soon, we had green marks all over our arms. "Bon, I think Jamie needs to go green too." I said. We turned to her, markers opened, and heading towards her arms.
If anyone was going green right now, it was definetly us.
