~19 years old~

I was busy working at starbucks when Lanie came walking in listening to her i-pod she had just gotten out of school I had graduated a year ago. I watched her for a little while before a costumer came up and ordered something,I fixed it before I walked to the back to get the my things since it was time for me to get off.I grabbed my messanger bag and headed out to meet her.

"Hey you have to hear this band they're awesome!"Lanie said as soon as I got out to her"I can't believe that I haven't heard of them until now considering they have two cds out now."

"I'll listen to them later."I said as I we both headed out the door to my car.

Lanie pulled out a her cd case from her backpack.

"Can I put their cd in because there's this song that I think you'll love."She said as she flipped through her collection of cds.

"Go ahead."I said shrugging a little as I pulled out of the parking lot and headed in towards my house.

She smiled and put their cd in as she turned it to the song she wanted me to hear.

As I listened to the song my mine wandered back to Kevin and how we used to have small talks like that on im when we were eleven and twelve even if we lived next door to each other.How everyone thought we would end up married and then Lanie switched the song to something else and started to sing it, I snapped out of my thoughts and listened to her sing.

"I woke up on my roof with my brothers
There's a whale in the pool with my mother
And my dad paints the house different colors
Where would we be, if we couldn't dream?"She sang causing me to laugh a little.

"These guys are pretty good."I said as I pulled into the driveway of my house"What's the name of the band anyways?"

"The Jonas Brothers."Lanie said"There's three of them and they're all really cute though I kinda think Joe is way cuter than the others."

Jonas brothers?Three of them?Joe?This couldn't be Kevin,Joe and Nick could it?

My breathe caught in my throat as I looked over at her and but my lip a little.

"Heather are you alright you look like you just saw a ghost?"Lanie asked as she looked at me.

"Do...do you have a picture of them?"I asked.

"Not on me but I can show you a picture of them on the computer."She said as she took her cd out and then opened her door as she got out.

I got out of the car and we both headed into the house and up towards my room niether one of my parents were home because they had work.My younger brother was up in his room.I put my messanger bag down and let Lanie sit down at my computer so that she could show me a picture.

"Here you go."She said smiling and moving so I could see it"Isn't Joe just so drop dead gorgeous?"

I looked at the picture and my heart started beating faster I mean I knew all the boys loved to sing and play instruments but I didn't know that they were going to be making it big.I looked at all of them they had grown so much since I last saw them,my eyes stopped at Kevin and I took a deep breathe he was a lot cuter than when I last saw him.

"Lanie that's my Kevin."I said pointing to him as I looked at her"I've told you about him remember?"

"Wait you mean to tell me that's the Kevin the one you were best friends with since Kindergarden?"She asked.

I nodded my head as I looked at the picture and bit my lip.

"That's the one."I said as I looked back at her.

"Wow so you know Joe?"She asked with a smile on her face.

"Yeah but I haven't seen them in six years so I doubt they remember me."I said.

"Well there's one way to find out."Lanie said with a little smile"I'm going to get concert tickets and well I was going to ask you to come along."

I bit my lip and looked back at the picture of Kevin.

It wouldn't hurt to find out.

~Kevin's POV~

I miss her so much.

I was looking at picture of Heather and I when we were 7 our arms around each other as I kissed her cheek and she giggled.I smiled a little as I taped it to the top of the bunk on the bus.I wondered how she was doing since she moved I mean it had been six years and even though I promised we'd keep in touch we didn't.When we had first got signed she was the one I wanted to tell first but I couldn't because I had no way of getting ahold of her.I actually had a crush on her and even thought I was in love with her even if I was young.I slowly got out of my bunk and walked to the lounge area.

"So where are we headed?"I asked Joe as I sat down next to him,he was playing video games against Frankie.
"Texas I think."Joe said as he nudged Frankie a little.

"Hey that's cheating."Frankie yelled as he pushed Joe back.

I laughed and shook my head before I headed towards the kitchen.

I wonder if Heather is still in Texas?

I grabbed some water as I sat down at the kitchen table where mom and dad were talking to each other about the plans for when we got to the venue,I listened to as much as I could before I got back up and walked to the lounge area again.

"What are you thinking about?"Nick asked me a few minutes later.

Guess I was staring off into to space again.

"Heather."I said as I sighed and looked at Nick he had his arm around his girlfriend Katelynn"I mean we are going to Texas and that was where she was supposed to move."

"Dude it's been six years."Joe said"I'm pretty sure she's forgotten about you by now."

I picked up a pillow and threw it at him but I knew that he was probably right she had probably forgotten all about the guy who used to be her best friend.

~Heather's POV~

I spent the whole day trying to find out some more things about what the boys had been up to in the last six years Lanie sat there and talked with me about them.I sighed a little as I listened to Just Friends over and over again.Lanie and I both headed down to dinner that night considering she was going to spend the night and then we would both head out to work the next morning.We sat down to eat joining hands around the table as we said grace.

"So mom guess who has a band."I said as I fixed my plate and passed stuff around.

"You."She said as she looked up at me.

Lanie laughed a little as she took a bite of her food.

"I wish."I said with a small smile as I looked up at her"Do you remember Kevin?"

"How could I forget Kevin you two were practically attached at the hip."My mom said with a small smile as she took a bite of my food.

"Yeah well he has a band with Joe and Nick."I said as I looked down at my plate and took a bite of my food.

"So you've talked to him?"My mom asked as she looked up at me and smiled a little.

I shook my head"No Lanie let me listen to this band and it turned out to be Kevin and the guys."I said sighing a little"They're really popular mom they have two cds out already."

My mom nodded a little as she continued to eat"I know."She said after a little while.

"Wait how do you know?"I asked as I looked up at her as I took another bite out my food.

"I saw their cd at the store the other day and I called Denise."She said.

I nearly choked on my food when she said that,quickly took a drink of my tea as Lanie patted me on the back.

"You've talked to Mrs.Jonas."I said when I had finally swallowed the food that was in my mouth.

She nodded her head"They'll be here in a week."She said"Denise is getting you and Lanie tickets aand backstage passes."

"Does Kevin know?"I asked.

My mom shook her head.

"Denise wanted it to be a suprise since it's going to be on Kevin's birthday."She said with a small smile.

That's right it was Kevin's birthday next week,I can't believe I had almost forgotten.

"Well this is awesome!"Lanie said with a huge smile on her face"Now I don't have to go and buy tickets."

I smiled and then excused myself from the table,Lanie did the same as we both walked up the stairs to my room.

"I can't believe this."I said as I fell back onto my bed.

"What your going to get to see Kevin again."Lanie said"Aren't you happy about it."

"Of coarse I'm happy."I said as I turned on my stoamch and sighed"It's just I'm afraid Kevin and I won't have anything in common anymore since he's a star and all."

Lanie nodded"I'm sure everything will go fine."She said.
