Authors Note: If the name “Kaylee” appears instead of Nicole, that’s because the main’s original name was Kaylee when I had to write this for Language Arts.
“Ugh.” Said Nicole Smith as her computer froze up for the 7th time that in the last 3 hours. Nicole was trying to get tickets to see her favorite band The Jonas Brothers, in concert. Nicole hit the refresh button at the top of the web page. On the ticket masters home screen next to The Jonas Brothers tour were two big bold words, SOLD OUT. Disappointment washed over the young 15-year-old girl, she had saved up $105 to get these tickets, but now the show was sold out. To make matters worse, Nicole’s best friend, Sarah, had just I.Med her saying she had gotten tickets to see the Jonas Brothers! Nicole was feeling a lot of emotion disappointment, anger, and jealousy, just to name a few. Nicole had closed down her sleek computer and sighed, there was always next tour the Jonas Brothers went on.
The day of the concert came and Nicole was not a very happy person. She was angry she didn’t get tickets, and jealous her best friend did. Around 4PM. Nicole decided to go for a walk, and get a cup of coffee from the Starbucks down the street. Nicole wanted to clear her mind and forget about those Jonas Brothers. Nicole pulled on her jacket and shoes and stepped in to the crisp fall air. Her brown hair whipped in her face as the cold howling wind blew on Nicoles’s now rosy cheeks. Her brown eyes started to water because of the force of the air. As she walked down the long winding road in the heart of Massachutes Nicole admired the Halloween decorations along her street. Nicole arrived at the Starbucks and found that it was packed, perfect for distracting herself from thinking about the concert. Kaylee placed her coat on the last remaining table and went up to place her order. After sipping her drink for about five minutes a boy about her age walked up to her.
“Cam my brothers and I sit here?” he asked pointing to his to older brothers standing in the coffee line.
“Nah.” Replied Nicole, “Haha, Just Kidding”. The boy smiled and sat down he introduced himself as Nick.
“Nicole” she said shaking his hand. All this time Nicole was getting a feeling of déjà vu, she felt as if she knew this boy, and his brothers.
“Are you from around here?” asked Nicole to Nick. Nicole saw Nick flush and begin to squirm.
“Uhh…” said Nick, “We travel a lot on our family bus, but we’re originally from Wyckoff, New Jersey”
“That’s awesome!” said Nicole, “Hey, did you happen to know Joe, Kevin, and or Nick Jonas when you loved there? There my favorite band, they grew up in Wyckoff”. Nick turned red and his eyes darted to his brothers who were just placing their orders due to the crowded coffee shop.
“No” replied Nick quickly changing the subject, “How long have you lived here?”
“All my life” replied Nicole, “It’s pretty boring.”
“It seems like a very nice quaint little town” replied Nick
“Uhh…I guess?” said Nicole making her statement sound like a question. At that moment Nick’s older brothers sat down and introduced themselves as Joe and Kevin.
“Haha” said Nicole, “You guys all have the same names as the Jonas Brothers, and your all brothers! Your just like them!”
Well,” started Nick taking off his hat and sungl*CENSORED*, “We’re the Jonas Brothers”. Joe and Kevin removed their disguises as well. All three boys were wearing large dark sungl*CENSORED* so you couldn’t make out there eyes. Also, they were all wearing different types of hats, Nick a baseball cap, the New York Yankees to be exact, Joe some sort of fancy beret and Kevin’s hat kind of looked like a sailors cap. Luckily the coffee shop was almost empty, so there were no crazy fan girl moments…yet (:
“Oh. My. God” said Nicole making three simple words in to three long sentences.
“Do you like our music?” questioned Kevin asked Nicole.
“Like!?” she replied, “I adored it! I tried for hours to get tickets to your show tonight, but I didn’t get them”
“Oh” said Joe somberly, “That stinks”
“Yeah,” said Nicole taking a long sip of her drink, a silence fell over the group until Nick’s voice broke it, “How would you like it if we gave you tickets and a backstage pass?”
“I would be ecstatic,” said Nicole
“Great” said Nick, “Come to the arena at 5”
“Okay” said Nicole checking the time, “I have to go, see you at 5”. The group said their goodbyes. Nicole silently thought, “Thank you! For not letting me get tickets!”
So this chapter was the ironic short story I had to write for language arts. Hahaha. Um..The next chapter should be up tomorrow
