Hey! I told you the sequel would be up soon! And I try really hard not to lie to you guys!
As far as new readers, I don't THINK you have to read Laws to follow this, but it wouldn't hurt.
Enjoy!
Prologue
The small black book sat on display at the front of the small used bookstore. The gold writing that was once bold and fresh was now faded and displayed the name of the book with tarnished pride. Although it was surrounded by many other books in various states of use, the small book drew her in like a moth to a flame.
Picking it up in her hands, she read the title with interest, twirling the ring she’d just gotten used to wearing on her finger. Flipping through the pages, she found herself smiling as she read not only snippets of the chapters themselves, but advice written in by the previous owners. She noticed the back held the names of around twenty women, their names scrawled in various handwritings and sizes. She didn’t know what it was about the book, but she knew she had to buy it.
Clutching it tightly in her hands, she went up to the cash register with eagerness, ready to own the small book. The old cash register was manned by an elderly woman, who smiled upon looking at the title. She refused to take money for the book, giving it away for free. As she said her thanks, Melissa walked out of the small bookshop she’d happened upon and looked at the title once more.

ok i love the title. i love the prologue. and i have a strong suspision that i am going to seriously love this story.
ugh i so can't wait to read more of this Ashley. i'm so excited for it...even though i will miss Laws. but it's okay i can always go back and read it again. which i will probably end up doing at some point in the future. =]
