Sarah pulled the last of her luggage into the small red saturn she called her own. She pulled on her wayfarers, and looked back at her parents who sat causually on the porch, like this was ntohing new. She walked around to the front of the car, hoped in and turned on the ignition.
She stuck her head out the window, and waved goodbye, as she eased down the driveway and around the corner to Emily's house.
She rolled down her windows and turned the radio up once she was on the road with Emily beside her. She popped in her Pushplay CD and turned up the volume as loud as she could. Emily & her sang the words as they got onto the highway, on there way to Cape Cod Maine, to there summer home.
That was where they were staying for the next 3 monthes of there summer, before they parted ways for college in a year. Sarah, after starring lead role in every play she was in, got a full ride scholarship to an acting school in California. She was outgoing, and a quiet beauty, so acting fit her well.
Emily, taking pictures of everything she saw, was going to an art school for photography in New York. She was outgoing, but not in the ways Sarah was, she was a bit more quiet, and was the one who was more of a in your face beauty.
They knew it would be the last quality time they got together, and they needed to be away from Sarahs boy drama, and Emily's family drama, so Maine seemed good. It was a small town, a little bit away from Cape Cod, and she could just feel somehting good would come out of the experience.
Sarah was looking for a boy who wouldn't hurt her, cheat on her, use her or play her. She was just looking ofr the one, after going through recent heartbreak. Emily had boys chasing her right and left, but she knew for one thing, and one thing only, she wanted someone to trust, whne she couldn't trust herself.
One Summer, two girls, three boys, & a story of the lifetime.
