Tiny Dancer.
A One-shot.
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
She sat across from Nick at the dinner table in the tour bus, repairing the rip in Nick’s oldest brother, Kevin’s, pants that occurred at the previous concert. She was Natalie, Garbo’s cousin who always traveled along with Garbo. And to keep herself busy she often found herself helping out with Frankie or repairing some outfit disasters that had previously happened. She felt Nick’s eyes on her and suddenly looked up from her work. She gave him a sly, pirate smile that made dear Nicholas wonder what she could possibly be thinking about. Natalie had a secret that only her parents and Garbo knew about; but she didn’t know that the very person sitting across from her also knew that secret too. He had come across her by accident dancing backstage; she was quite graceful and really good. Natalie eyes glittered brilliantly and she was always told she married a music man by the ones who knew her secret and when she’d question them they’d answer “Music and dancing go well together. You’ll see.”
Jesus freaks out in the street*
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
-A couple hours later-
Garbo and Natalie had ceased their conversation when Nick entered the back lounge. He figured he’d waste sometime playing some card game with Garbo.
“Hey look,” Nick laughed. “,someone is protesting something!”
Natalie turned around in her seat and looked out at the group of people; when she turned back…she just laughed.
Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows the tune she hums
-At that night’s concert-
Nick was really getting into the song he was playing on the piano. It was a personal song he had wrote on the set of Camp Rock. Natalie stood in the side wing looking on at the amazing performance Nick and his brothers were giving. She knew this tune very well; she often caught herself singing the catchy lyrics or humming the tune. Denise stood beside her and watched her sons.
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly slowly
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today
-After the concert-
Natalie and Nick sat outside the venue after everyone had left.
“How many did you count?” Natalie asked.
They’d been counting headlights out of boredom.
“Why doesn’t anyone know you dance?” Nick looked at Natalie; curiosity filled his chocolate brown eyes.
“How did you know about that?!” Natalie stood furiously.
“Please,” Nick pleaded. “, tell me. I didn’t mean to see you just…”
“It’s a big conflict with my father’s side of the family.” Natalie said softly.
“Why?”
“Music is more appreciated than dance.” Natalie said shortly.
“You’re amazing….you know….at dance.” Nick ran a nervous hand through his unruly brown curls.
“Silly rockstar.” Natalie smiled that same pirate smile.
-Later on the tour bus-
Nick finished the show he had been watching for the past hour on ESPN. While searching for the remote; Nick noticed Natalie sound asleep. Seeing her peacefully at rest for the night made him grin widely, and with that he carefully picked her up and took her to her bunk on the tour bus.
“You’ve had a busy day today.” Nick kissed Natalie’s forehead.

-Eleven years later-
“…you may now kiss the bride.” The preacher announced to the newlyweds.
Natalie and Nick kissed and at the reception Natalie got ‘I told you so’s’ from her parents, and ‘I’m proud of you Tiny dancer’ from Garbo
