Chapter 4
For about five minutes Elayna and Kevin walked in silence through the venue. Kevin had never felt so nervous to be standing next to a person, especially a girl. Why was he so nervous around her? Kevin’s thoughts were interrupted by the chiming of a cell phone.
“Oh sorry,” Elayna squeaked as she fumbled to get out her cell phone. She stared down at the called ID and her face seemed to go white. She let out a painful sigh as she silenced her phone hoping Kevin wouldn’t notice.
“You ok?” Kevin asked. Suddenly the brightness was gone from her eyes, who was calling that she didn’t want to answer?
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll just call him back later.”
“Him?” Kevin accidentally let slip, thinking he was saying it so she couldn’t hear.
Elayna looked at him. She could notice the slight disappointment in her eyes. What exactly was going on here?
“Uh yeah, just an old friend. I don’t really want to talk about it right now though.”
Kevin noticed the seriousness in her voice and decided it was time for a topic change.
“So what exactly where you and your friend doing inside the venue so early?”
Elayna laughed. “Well Mel is a very sneaky girl. She saw one of the doors propped open and figured it was a sign to go in. What were you guys doing engaging in a game of whack-a-fan?” **I couldn’t resist lol**
Kevin was intrigued by her. She was so confident and funny and…perfect.
“Yeah sorry about that. Well not totally sorry, because if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have met you.”
Elayna stopped walking and looked right into Kevin’s eyes. Kevin could feel his knees go a little weak, just with one look from her.
“Kevin…” Elayna began to say but was cut off by Kevin’s lips.
He couldn’t help himself. She was just so beautiful and different from any other girl he had ever met. Before he knew it he had her pushed up against the wall with his hands entangled in her luscious hair. He could tell that she was surprised because of the tenseness of her body. But it wasn’t long before she relaxed and her hands traced his back. The passion between them grew and Elayna deepened the kiss and traced her tongue along Kevin’s lips. This was driving him insane. Suddenly there was a cough from behind them and uncomfortable giggling. They quickly pulled away from each other, Kevin stumbling as he moved backward. Joe, Melanie, and Frankie were standing there just staring. Frankie had broken out into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. “Kevin has a girlfriend. Kevin has a girlfriend,” he sang.
“So what’s going on, “Joe said awkwardly. Melanie looked at her friend and knew that she wasn’t ok.
“Um oh my gosh. I just remembered that we were supposed to get my friend a t-shirt and some stuff and yeah me and E will meet up with you guys later,” Melanie spat out before grabbing Elayna’s hand and running off.
Kevin stood there with a confused look on his face until Joe finally pushed him to continue walking. They headed back to their dressing room to prepare for lockdown. Kevin couldn’t help but think that maybe what he did was wrong. But she seem to have wanted it too, didn’t she?
