More, like I promised!

Back when eleven fell onto its side
Nick must have been about eleven years old when he realized he wanted a little bit more adventure in his life. Playing games of hide and seek with his brothers and neighbors got old quick. And while they were perfectly content to play tag and whatever board game was popular that day, he was bored.
Not quite knowing how to change his feelings towards the matter, he withdrew into his room. There he discovered that writing down his thoughts was more fun than playing stupid games with his brothers.  He wrote stories about a boy who found adventure and something new at every turn. He wrote songs about his wishes to explore the world he knew very little about. Those songs and stories sustained him for a few years, until he was fifteen.
At the urging of his brothers, he started dating Melissa. She was the perfect girl for the perfect boy with the perfect life. And though she was nice and pretty, being with her made him sick. She was too normal; perfectly content with her life. It was one Bible study after another, studying for tests a week in advance, and the tedious volunteer work. Nick enjoyed doing these things in moderation, but with Melissa it was constant. But he stayed with her; because he did like her, he just felt like she wasn’t the right one for him.
The couple was currently sitting together on the large sofa in the Jonas living room. Cuddled up with one another, it would have been the perfect photo op. His hands in her hair, idly playing with the strands while she relaxed into him, looking into his chocolate brown eyes lovingly. They were supposed to be watching the movie playing on the television across the room, a romantic comedy chosen by Melissa, but Nick had quickly changed their focus from the movie to the feel of his lips on hers. He didn’t need to watch the movie to see how it would end. He knew the couple on the dvd case would be together by the end and that the cheesy storyline would be the same as any other annoying chick flick.
As bad as it sounded, kissing Melissa was really the only thing he really enjoyed about being with her. The physical contact making his head dizzy and heart thudding in his chest. It was the most intoxicating thing about their relationship. It was also one of the things about their relationship that didn’t happen too often.
“Nick, I want to watch the movie!” Melissa said after a few minutes, causing Nick to sigh in frustration. He didn’t complain, he never did, but he was irritated. So he settled with just cuddling and watching the movie.
When it was finally over, Nick couldn’t have been happier. He groaned inwardly as Melissa sniffled, happy that the two were together after the insurmountable odds against them. The movie wasn’t comedic in any way whatsoever, and just made Nick crave the life he held in secret. He needed to get out again.
Telling Melissa goodbye, he gave it a good two hours before walking the few blocks towards the city. He knew he shouldn’t be heading for the house he was making his way towards, but he couldn’t stand the boredom of his home.

Haha, a part of me is sad that Nick really isn't into this whole relationship, but then the other part of me doesn't care AT ALL when I read about the kissing again. XD YES! WIN!

I absolutely LOVE the bad boy Nick. Seriously. It's just such an AWESOME image that works with the whole intense-brooding stare he does so well. <3
