ok guys this is my first one-shot so be brutal! i hope you like it!
The boy sat on the bench staring at his feet and kicking the gravel here and there as he thought about everything that had just happened. It had not been his day, his week, his month…when would it be his time to have everything go right?
How could she do that this to me? It’s not fair! Just because I am a few years younger... I am just as good as him, if not better! He thought as he heard footsteps from behind him coming closer and closer until they stopped right next to him and sat down.
“Hey” she said and looked at him and smiled
“Hey” he replied coldly.
“How are you doing?” she asked
He looked into her eyes and could tell that she was genuinely concerned but still had no desire to tell her what was wrong. She had broken his heart and he still wasn’t sure if he could ever forgive her for that.
“are you upset with me?” she asked after he didn’t respond to her for a couple of minutes
What kind of question is that? Of course I am mad at you! But not really…I could never be mad at you…I love you and I wish you loved me in the same way.
“no” he said refusing to tell her his true feelings
One look at him and she could tell he was lying, she always could. His face always flushed a little bit whenever he lied, not many people knew that but she did.
“please don’t lie to me…I really don’t appreciate it”
“and I don’t appreciate you ditching me”
“I’m not ditching you!”
“REALLY? It certainly feels like you are”
She grabbed his face and turned it to look straight into her eyes.
“I will always be here for you no matter what! If you ever need anything at all just call me and I’ll be there as fast as humanly possible! Just because I’m with him now doesn’t mean that I don’t care about you any more…you’ll always have a special place in my heart”
“swear?”
“I swear on the power rangers! I love you” She said giving him a kiss on the cheek, but he knew that she didn’t mean it the way he wished that she did
“I love you too” he whispered
“Stephani, baby?” a voice yelled from across the street
“Yeah?” the girl yelled back
“We have to go, we don’t wanna be late!” Joe Jonas’ voice carried from across the street to tell his girlfriend that if they didn't get going soon they would be late
"alright honey! i'm coming!" she yelled back "I'm sorry I have to go"
"It's alright, have fun" the boys smiled weakly and she ran off and got in the car and drove off with Joe...she had the biggest smile on her face...the biggest the boy had seen in a long time
"Time to come home!" Mrs. Jonas yelled from across the street
The boy stood up and looked at the spot where she had just been sitting, shook his head, and walked across the street to his house smiled at his mother and went up to bed.
