Chapter 03
Ashley's P.O.V.
After my whole ordeal with Kaylee I wanted to have some fun and celebrate the fact that I am going to audition for an actual broadway show. I called up Malou and then called Marina so that we could three way.
"Oh my gosh. You guys are not going to believe this." I said.
"What is it?" Malou and Marina both said.
"My mom is going let me audition for the new broadway show. And guess what it is?"
"Hm. I don't know."
"ENCHANTED!"
Both of them squeal and say "No way."
"Yeah. I'm excited. The only thing bad is that Kaylee isn't excited. She like blew up on me today. I don't know whats wrong with her."
Malou and Marina were silent.
"Is there something that I don't know and you guys do?"
"Uh yeah. Kaylee and Chris broke up."
Kaylee and Chris have been dating for the past year. Even though she was thirteen when she started dating him I knew that she really liked him. He really liked her too. I would have never guessed that they broke up. I wonder what happened.
"Oh my. What happened? And how do you guys know and I don't? She's my twin sister for crying out loud."
"Well appearently Chris started liking Mary. And I know because Chris and I are close friends." said Malou.
"Oh. I bet she's really upset. I want to talk to her but she might yell at me again. To get my mind off of this Chris problem why don't we all come over to my house and watch movies. We can rent them."
"Alright."
About a half hour later they came over and we walked to the movie rental and got inside. We rented The Devil Wears Prada, Juno, and 27 dresses. When we got back to my house I put in a bag of popcorn. We all sat on my couch under several blanets and the bowl of popcorn in the middle. Before the movie started I went up to Kaylee's room to see if she wanted to come hang with us. She told me to go away. I'm taking that as a no.
"Hey Kay. I know what happened. I'm really sorry. You don't need Chris he isn't that great anyways."
"That's the thing Ashley. I do need him. He is great in evey single way. You just don't understand. When you get a boyfriend you'll understand but until then just keep your mouth shut and leave me alone."
I didn't know what to say. I stood there in shock. I walked out of her room and closed the door gently. When I say down in between Malou and Marina then noticed something was wrong. I couldn't help it but I just got up and walked to the back of the house. I opened up the sliding door that led to my backyard and walked out to our swing and sat down. I couldn't help but cry. Kaylee's harsh words kept re-playing in my head. What was supposed to be the best day of my life has now turned out to be the worst.
