Chapter 16: part 2.
Ashley's P.O.V.
Sarah, Iris, and I all went out for lunch at the pizza place. The three of us never hang out together, its always with the guys. Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with Nick, Kevin, and Joe but sometimes the girls just need to get together. While we waited for our pizza to come we sat and talked. Eventually Iris started talking about Joe and their problems.
"I don't know whats going on. Everytime I call him, which isn't often he's always doing something and it's not with the band. We fight about everything. I just wish I had a clue what's going on." Iris said.
"That's not like Joe. Usually he's all for talking on the phone with you. You guys normally don't fight." I said.
"Yeah. It seems pretty wierd." Sarah agreed.
Right then this tall blonde came walking in and sat at a table across the room from us. She kept checking her phone as if she was waiting for someone. We kept talking until this guy came in and sat at the table with the girl. He sat down with his back to us. A couple minutes our pizza came. Every now and then all of us and including the rest of people in the restaurant would look over at the girl because she was being so obnoxious. The two would hold hands and she would giggle really loud. It was getting really annoying. Iris just sat in her seat with this bank look on her face with worry in her eyes. She wasn't even blinking.
"Iris? Hello? Is someone in there?" I said waving my hand in front of her face.
"Iris?" Sarah tried.
We looked around the room to find what Iris was staring at.
"Wh-What? Yeah. I'm here....and so is..Joe." Iris said finally blinking with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"What? Where?" I said while Sarah and I scooted our chairs over to comfort Iris.
"Over there...with her." she said pointing to the girl and guy at the table across the room holding hands.
I didn't know what to say or do. All that we could to was to leave as fast as possible. We paid for out food and ran out before Joe could spot any of us. It finally all makes sense. Why Joe is always fighting with her. Why he always says he's busy. He's with another girl. How could he do this to Iris? She doesn't deserve any of this.
