Tadaaaa! I think it's a little longer than I planned.
Hope you like it
I know there's a few typos... but I'm too tired to re-type them right now. But it's all understandable I think.
The sun was beating down heavily on the back of Sarah’s neck as she strolled across the field behind her family’s country house. She hadn’t been to the country in a few years and as she stared up at the blue sky, she realised why she’d missed it so much. She’d grown out of taking family vacations and whereas her parents were suddenly interested in exploring Europe, she’d decided to spend her summer with her friends here.
She’d woken up early, the heat making it uncomfortable to stay in bed. Her two friends were sound asleep as she’d dressed and left the country house to explore her old surroundings. She’d made her way across the field and was nearing the place she’d set up a tree house once upon a time. She was wondering whether it still existed, knowing that summer storms were normal around here.
As her feet squelched through still wet mud she noticed, with surprise, that the tree house was in fact still there. However it was obviously very different to when she’d left it. The tin roof was the only thing that she recognised as her own handy work. The make-shift wooden walls were now painted various colours of blue and green and the curtains she’d hung herself had been replaced.
Sarah stopped when she reached the foot of the tree her tree house had been built on. She shaded her eyes as she looked up the rope ladder and saw a foot hanging out of the trap door. She could hear voices coming from inside and feeling brave she began the ascent, which took her roughly five minutes due to the unsteady rope ladder.
As she neared the top she could tell that she was about to interrupt two boys conversing about whether they could hook up electricity for the tree house. She rolled her eyes thinking how stupid they sounded. The tree house was in the middle of a small patch of trees, no electricity for miles. If she had to stay at a country house that was running off gas, they had no chance.
Feeling slightly anxious Sarah raised her head through the trap door and let her presence be known. It took a few seconds for the boys to realise they weren’t alone and when they turned to look at her, she felt her heart miss a beat. She was staring into the big brown eyes of two members of her favourite band, the Jonas Brothers.
“Oh my….” She felt the heat rush to her face and her footing slip beneath her.
She felt the breath in her lungs disappear as she fell tumbling to the ground. She let a small scream escape her lips as she shut her eyes tight, hoping for the best. She expected to fall on to the floor in a heap of blood and bones but as her back made impact with something slightly softer, breaking her fall, her eyes snapped open.
“I need to stop being a hero.” Her head turned 90° and her mouth turned into an o shape as she realised she’d fallen into the arms of the third Jonas Brother and her favourite, Kevin.
He’d obviously thought he could catch her but his smart move had ended up with them both on the floor, less injured than she would have been if he’d not been there. As Kevin’s face turned into a smile when he noticed her looking at him she felt her cheeks turn crimson. She repressed a fan girl scream and crawled off of him.
“Are you ok?” She looked up to see the youngest Jonas brother, Nick, jump down from the ladder.
“I… I’m fine.” She mumbled, unconsciously running her fingers through her long brown wavy hair.
“Are you ok Kevin?” The middle Jonas, Joe, joined them, transferring his attention to his older brother still sprawled on the floor.
“I’m great.” Kevin grinned, sitting up.
Sarah suddenly became conscious of her appearance and cursed herself mentally for not changing her glasses to contacts. She’d not even bothered to straighten her hair, not expecting to see another person for miles, let alone the Jonas Brothers. She had a pair of long billabong shorts on and a green vest, more comfortable and cute than what she’d have picked to wear for her first meeting with three hot boys.
“Do you need a drink or anything? We have plenty of soda up in our tree house.” Nick stated, stepping closer to Sarah.
At 5’6 she was the same height as Nick, but his curly brown hair made him appear slightly taller than her. She felt her cheeks warm up in another blush as she realise how close he was to her. If she reached out her hand she could tuck the stray curl behind his ear and - their tree house?
“Dude, that’s not your tree house.” She stated, folding her arms across her chest.
“Yeah…”
“No. I built that four years ago.”
She noticed the sheepish looks that appeared on all three boys faces. Kevin stood up and scratched his chin as if in thought. Joe and Nick exchanged glances before Joe broke out into a grin and moved to wrap his arm around Sarah’s shoulders.
“I think you may have bumped your head.” He insisted, steering her in the direction opposite to the tree house.
“I didn’t bump anything except your brother.” Sarah replied, overwhelmed by the sudden contact, but still coherent.
“Then maybe you’ll recognise this.” Joe grinned, moving his free hand to her chin and moving it so she was looking up at a dilapidated tree house, with no tin roof.
“Oh… right.” Sarah muttered, suddenly blushing once again.
“But since you’re so beautiful and I’m interested in getting to know you, we’ll allow you access into our tree house.”
Sarah gave him a quizzical look before smiling back at him. It was surreal that hours before she’d been in her bed dreaming about the very same boy that she never ever thought she’d hear that type of compliment from. She knew he could have his pick of girls, a few of them being celebrities. Yet there he was steering her back towards his tree house and helping her up the rope ladders so she wouldn’t repeat her fall from earlier.
Once she was inside the tree house it was clear that she was definitely not in her own building. It had a lot more structure to it and she wasn’t afraid to go too close to the edge in case it toppled over. Obviously three boys could build something more sturdy than her, singularly.
“Drink?” Nick offered as she placed herself next to him on a large cushion.
“Sure.” Sarah replied, suppressing another fan girl scream as the situation finally settled in.
How many girls could say they’d sat in a tree house with the Jonas Brothers? Her friends were probably stirring in their beds right now, oblivious to the fact that Sarah was doing something they’d both kill to do.
After the initial shock of falling into the arms of her biggest crush, Sarah began to relax. She introduced herself properly to the boys and although she already knew a fair deal about them, they all told her their names.
They kept her stocked up on conversation and refreshments as she sun continued it’s daily span of the earth. Around noon, when it was at its highest, they were all grateful for the shade of the tin roof. However, the sweat was still dripping off them. Nick had removed his t-shirt to reveal a white wife beater and Joe had removed his t-shirt. Normally Sarah would probably have passed out, but the heat was irritating her.
Around 3pm Sarah felt a vibration in her back pocket. She pulled her cell out and flipped it open to read a text message. It was off her friend asking where she was. She’d completely forgotten that there was two girls who were probably considering calling the FBI to find out where she’d disappeared to.
“I better get going, my friends are worried.” Sarah informed the guys, standing up.
“So soon?” Joe asked looking at his watch.
“Afraid so.” Sarah confirmed.
“What are you doing tonight?” Nick asked, jumping up.
“I don’t know yet, we haven’t got plans.”
“Can I take you out?” Joe blurted out, also standing up.
“Huh?” Sarah’s jaw dropped.
“Joe! You totally moved in on her then, Sarah ignore him, go out with me tonight.” Nick said, sounding irate.
“I asked her first.” Joe exclaimed, nudging his brother in the ribs, violently.
“No you interrupted me asking her.” Nick exclaimed right back, elbowing Joe.
“Sarah, it’s your choice… who do you want to take you out?” Joe asked, pushing his brother away from him.
“I… I….” Sarah shot Kevin a wistful look, but he seemed overly interested in the can of soda he had in his hands.
“I’m older I can show you a better time.” Joe winked.
“I’m more sensitive though.” Nick chipped in, shooting Joe a look that could possible kill.
“Boys, I’m flattered, really I am. But I couldn’t choose between you.”
“Just pick one of us tonight and the other can take you out tomorrow night.” Joe insisted.
“I don’t want to let either of you down, decide yourself.”
“Are you crazy?” Kevin asked, looking up surprised. “they’ll fight over this for hours until it’s too late for either of them to take you out.”
“We could settle this another way.” Nick suggested.
“How?”
“Arm wrestle?” Nick’s lipped turned into a smirk as he flexed his arm muscles.
Joe suddenly looked nervous and glanced at his own arms. They were toned, tanned and definitely eye catching, but they were nowhere near as strong as his younger brothers.
“Too easy.” Joe replied.
“I have an idea.” Sarah grinned, suddenly remember a conversation she’d had with one of her friends back at the house.
All three boys turned to look at her, interested in what could possible resolve their argument.
“Topless mud wrestling?” Sarah smirked.
So a few hours later as the sun was low in the sky Sarah was stood with her two friends laughing and squealing like crazy people. They were on the opposite of the patch of trees near a stream that flowed down from a nearby mountain. They were each wearing boots that they didn’t mind getting caked in thick mud. Sarah had changed from her earlier attire into a flower patterned summer dress, ready for her date with the winner. As soon as the match was over Sarah and her champion were off down the stream to have a romantic picnic.
Joe and Nick had both stripped down to shorts and hung their chosen outfit for the night on branches of a nearby tree. They didn’t think to consider how dirty they would be after the tournament, but at the moment it didn’t matter. Since Sarah had left them earlier they’d participated in non-stop bickering. Both of them determined to win a date with the pretty girl they’d known only a few hours.
Kevin strolled across the almost perfectly formed puddle of mud that was separating the boys from the girls. He’d dressed casually for the event and as his converse clad foot landed on a particularly sloppy patch of mud he felt himself falling backwards. He hit the mud with a squelch and moaned aloud. He used his hands to heave himself up, covering them in the brown mud.
“Clever.” Sarah called over to him from her side of the mud.
He looked up to and smiled before using his t-shirt to wipe the mud off. He’d taken it upon himself to be the referee for the match and using an old whistle he’d managed to find he let the others know the wrestling was about to begin.
Nick and Joe made their way over to Kevin, slipping a few times but never losing their footing. The falling sun was shining down on them giving Joe a menacing twinkle in his eyes. Nick look more relaxed than Joe was, probably because he was less afraid of getting dirty.
“Ok, some rules,” Kevin said loud enough so the girls could hear him “no kicking, no biting, no punching, no cheating -”
“Ok we get the point now let them wrestle!” One of Sarah’s friends exclaimed.
Nick and Joe both broke into laughter as Kevin looked bewildered. He shook his head slightly as a grin formed on his lips and he began to count his brothers into the wrestle. As soon as he called three Nick had ran at Joe and was pulling him to the ground.
Sarah and her friends both stood dumbstruck at the scene in front of them. Two extremely hot brothers, shirtless, breaking out into a sweat, rolling around in mud. They all began to squeal in excitement and jumping up and down, egging the boys on.
Nick felt Joe’s strong hands gripping his shoulder pushing him further back into the puddle of the mud that they had somehow managed to sink through up to their ankles. Mud was flying everywhere as they both struggled against each other to keep themselves from lying flat down. Joe seemed to get out of breath quickly, and Nick took advantage of this by pushing him back and pulling himself up on to his knees. Joe recovered quickly so they were both level, trying their hardest to push the other down.
“Seriously Sarah, you’re one lucky girl.” The friend on her right retorted as she stared at the two bodies fumbling around in front of her.
“I know.”
“Let’s hope neither of them win and you can force them to do something else equally hot.” Her other friend grinned.
“Oh man that’s gotta hurt.” Sarah exclaimed as Nick elbow dropped on to Joe.
“Ouch.” Both her friends muttered simultaneously.
Joe pushed Nick off of him and flipped him over so he was face down in the mud, spluttering.
“That’s cheating!” Nick moaned as his face was released from the puddle.
Joe grinned and went to push Nick’s head back down. Nick, however, anticipated this and rolled over so Joe just pushed his hand into the mud. Both boys out of breath continued to wrestle for a good few minutes before Kevin rolled his eyes and walked away from them. He made his way over to Sarah and her friends, looking nervous.
“Do you not think you should be closer in case they need breaking up?” One of her friends asked, looking frightened.
“They’ll be fine.” Kevin said, running his hand through his curly locks.
“Are you ok Kevin?” Sarah asked, noticing something change in her favourite Jonas.
“Yeah… I… Do you wanna go on that date with me?” He asked, looking down at his feet.
Sarah repressed her final fan girl scream and took a deep breath to calm herself. She’d knew she was pretty lucky to have two Jonas boys asking her out, but neither of them were the one she wanted.
“I thought you’d never ask.” She grinned before linking her arm in his and pulling him away from the wrestling match.
They walked along the bank of the stream, arms still linking. The sun that was now almost fully set cast a romantic shadow over the two of them as they were strolling. The two remaining brothers not even aware that they’d both lost.
