Thanks again for all the wonderful auditions. This is my first one-shot so I don't know how well I did. Tell me what you guys think.

Keiko glanced at the picture of Joe in his military uniform, sitting on her nightstand as she sat up in bed. Joe had trained to be in the military since he was 17 years old. He would leave early in the morning, often before the sun had rose and come home late at night. Joe had wanted to serve in the military almost all his life. His military training made it difficult to spend time with his wife and his 3 year old son. Keiko new what she was getting into when she married Joe. They had been childhood friends since they were in diapers. Keiko had always known of Joe's dream but dreaded the day when he would finally leave her. She would always try to push that thought out of her head and make everyday with Joe the best it could be. When Joe left for his training, Keiko prayed that it wouldn't be the day he left for war.
Keiko remembered the day Joe had first asked her to be his girlfriend,
The sun was setting and the two bestfriends were sitting on the beach, playing a game of 'would you rather' and watching the sun set, slowly eliminating the only light they had left. Joe's turn came to ask Keiko a question,
"Would you rather date a bestfriend you have known your whole life or date someone that you have just met?" Joe was trying to get a point across but Keiko didn't think anything of it and answered the question as she normally would, "A bestfriend."
Joe's face lit up and even though it was Keiko's turn, he spoke again taking his opportunity to say what he had been wanting to say for a long time, "Keiko, I love you, I always have," He pulled out a single red rose and took Keiko's hand, "will you be my girlfriend?" Joe smiled sweetly at Keiko, praying she would accept. Keiko was speachless, she never knew Joe thought of her more then a bestfriend, but she couldn't lie to herself and say that she didn't feelings for him, "Yes, Joe, I will." Joe wrapped his arms around Keiko's neck and his lips met hers. The passion was so strong between them. The couple had fire between them, fire that was impossible to deny.
Keiko brushed her hand lightly across the picture of Joe and let a single tear drop onto the frame. Her eyes blurred and she wiped tears from each side of her face. Joe always did look good in a uniform. Memories of the engagement filled Keiko head,
Joe slipped something into Keiko's coat pocket without her knowing. That night Joe led Keiko into an open field where a blanket was spread out. The sky had turned dark as the couple gazed up at the stars.
"Wow, their beautiful. Have you ever seen anything like it?" Keiko's eyes were wide with amazement. The stars were so beautiful when you actually took the time to look at them.
"Yes, and I'm looking at her right now." Joe gently stroked Keiko's long brown hair.
Keiko blushed, "I love you Joe." She giggled. Joe always had a way of making her feel special. Keiko placed her hand on her stomach, resting her arm on her coat pocket. She felt a box, and she didn't remember putting it there. Keiko pulled out the box and opened it slowly, unsure of what was inside.
"Oh my gosh, Joe!" Keiko squealed. Joe took the box and pulled out the ring, "Keiko Michelle Paterson, will you marry me?" Tears of joy fell from Keiko's big brown eyes as she accepted the ring. Joe slipped the ring on her left ring finger and pulled her into a hug, getting soaked by Keiko's salty tears.
Keiko placed the picture back where it belonged, got up from her bed and left her room. She walked down the hall passing photo after photo of Joe and her together. She laughed as she looked at the pictures. Some were goofy ones of them having fun and being careless, others were more serious pictures of them which forced tears from Keiko's eyes. Keiko passed a picture of her and Joe on their wedding day,
The wedding took months of thoughtful planning and time. Keiko and Joe had long awaited the day that they would be married. The wedding was set on a beach during a sunset, Keiko walked down the aisle with her father. She was in a spaghetti strapped white gown. It flowed out at the bottom and was lined with lace at every edge. Joe and Keiko joined at the end of the aisle. The preist began speaking and he finally got to the moment Keiko and Joe had been waiting for,
"Do you Keiko Marshell take this man to be your wedded husband?"
"I do."
"Do you Joseph Jonas take this women to be your wedded wife?"
"I do."
"You may now kiss the bride"
The newly wedded couple shared an intimate kiss and the crowd cheered loudly. Nick and Kevin were crying and both Keiko and Joe's parents were bawling. The couple ran into their limo and drove off to their honey moon.
Keiko checked on Tyler to make sure he was asleep and still breathing. When she was sure he was okay she left the room silently and let her mind go.
Joe had been planning a dinner for two months at a fancy resturant, down the street. It was a formal dinner and was planned to celebrate Keiko's birthday as a suprise. Keiko had wanted to eat their for awhile but Joe never had the time, with all his military training. The dinner was reserved for just the two of them. Joe was dressed in a black and white tux with shiny shoes. Keiko was in a dark blue strapless dress that complimented every curve of her body. She wore silver heels and a diamond necklace. When Joe and Keiko left the house Joe had placed a blindfold over Keiko's eyes and told her not to take it off until he told her too do so.
"Joe where are we going?" Keiko asked Joe even though he had told her two times already that it was a suprise. The car pulled to a stop and Joe took the blindfold off.
Keiko gasped and hugged Joe tightly and gave him a peck on the lips. Joe walked around to Keiko's door and opened it for her. She grabbed his hand and left the car. They walked hand in hand to their table.
The dinner was spectacular and they enjoyed every minute of it, laughing, telling childhood stories and talking about everything.
"Joe, I know this was a suprise for me but I have a suprise for you." Keiko reached into her purse and pulled out a small but somewhat long box.
"You didn't have to do this Keiko."
"Well I was going to have to do it sometime." Keiko said, making Joe nervous for what was in the box. He opened it and inside was an object he didn't recognize.
"Thats a pregnancy test Joe. Were going to be parents!" Joe's jaw dropped and he jumped from his chair screaming with joy. The whole resturant stopped to see what all the commotion was about. After all it was a fancy dinner, and Joe had not followed those expectations.
That night after the dinner the couple spent the night exchanging sweet hugs and passionate kisses.
Keiko walked to the kitchen and fryed up a hotdog, which she wasn't a big fan of. Even though she hated it, she was eating away her depression. Keiko ate her greasy hotdog with complete concentration. Her mind jumped around a lot but seemed to come back to that one special person, Joe. He was all she ever thought about for the past 2 years. Since the day he left for war, Keiko wasn't the same person. She was quiet and started to shut people out.
"Keiko!" Joe ran through the front door, "They are sending me to war! I can't believe this, it's really happening! I have dreamt of this day for years and its finally happening!" Joe was all smiles. His eyes were glowing and his face beamed with joy. How could she tell him she didn't want him to go?
Keiko cheered with him but inside she was torn apart. He was actually leaving. This was real.
"When do you leave?" Keiko asked swallowing the huge lump that formed in her throat.
"Thursday." That was tomorrow.
Keiko couldn't hold her emotions back, she ran and jumped into Joe's arms, crying hysterically. Joe's happiness faded as he saw the reaction of Keiko.
"Its only for six months. Keiko I will be back soon."
That night Keiko and Joe spent their last night together looking through old photo albums and playing board games. Their one year old baby, Tyler, slept on his daddy's stomach that night. He didn't really know that his daddy was going off to war but he still enjoyed cuddling up to him. The next morning was filled with tears, hugs and kisses. Keiko was a mess, she had circles around her chocolate eyes, that were puffy and swollen. Keiko and Joe hugged one last time and Joe said goodbye to his son, then left. Leaving his wife unsure of the day that he would return.
Keiko finished her hotdog and took a shower before Tyler would wake up. The shower calmed her down but she was still upset. So far Joe's scheduled date to return home was extended three times. Everyday was spent worrying about him. She couldn't help but think that the worst had happened. When Keiko was finished with her shower and getting ready, she called her bestfriend, Aaryn and cried to her on the phone.
This had become a routine, Keiko would call crying to Aaryn and Aaryn would rush over there to comfort her bestfriend. This routine was put into affect that day. Aaryn came over in minutes.
"Hey honey, are you okay?" Aaryn asked closing the front door behind her and stepping closer to Keiko who was curled up in a ball in the corner of the couch.
"I.. I.. need him.. to.. come back." Keiko sobbed in between breaths.
Tyler had walked out of his bed and into the room where his crying mother was standing. She hated it when her son saw her cry, so she wiped her tears and picked him up.
"Hey buddy." She kissed him on his forehead trying to keep from bawling.
"Momma, when is da da coming home?" The little boy asked playing with his mothers necklace.
Keiko didn't know how to answer her son, "He will be home soon, very soon." Keiko said that to herself and tried to believe it and hope it was true.
The next day Keiko woke up earlier then she did most days. She took a glance at the clock, 6:30. She grunted and rolled over. Footsteps caught her attention. Who could that be? Tyler didn't walk that loud?
Keiko slipped out of bed and walked slowly to her door, and cracked it open, peeking into the hallway.
A man's back faced her. He was in a military suit.
"JOE!" Keiko ran, crying harder then she had ever cried before.
"Keiko! I missed you so much!" Joe screamed catching Keiko and twirling her in a circle in his arms. He kissed her over and over.
"I can't believe your home!" The smile on Keiko's face broke Joe's heart. He was thrilled to finally be home.
"I'm never leaving you again, I promise." Joe looked deeply into her eyes.
"Good, now lets go visit your son." Keiko grabbed Joe by the hand and led him down the hallway to Tyler's room, she opened the door and Tyler sat up straight in his bed, "Daddy's home!"
"Da Da!" Joe ran and hugged his little boy.
"How are you little man!" Joe hugged him tightly and tossed him into the air. He had a lot of catching up to do.
All was well and happy again. The joy of Keiko's life returned and she knew she would be the person everyone knew her to be again. Joe had promised he wouldn't leave and Keiko made sure he kept his word.
