~Three years later~

~25 years old~

It had been three years since that day and Madison reminded me more and more of her mother as she grew.It was hard being a single dad and trying to be a rockstar so I ended up taking a break from the band.

"Daddy someones at the door."Madison yelled running to me.

I smiled as I picked her up and we both headed towards the door.I opened it to find Joe standing there with his wife Arielle,Ari for short.They had gotten married a year ago.It was hard to believe that Joe could find a girl that would put up with him but he did.

"Uncle Joe."Madison yelled as she reached out for him.

He laughed a little as he took her from me and they both came walking into the house.

"Hey guys."I said as I shut the door"What brings you here early,you do know you weren't supposed to be at my house till later tonight right?"
"Maddie how about we go and play in the living room."Ari said as she took her hand and they walked that way.I watched them before I turned back to Joe.

"What's going on?"I asked.

Joe sighed a little.

"Our manager wants to talk about getting the band back together."He said.

"Joe you know I can't do that."I said shaking my head"I have a daughter to raise."

Joe sighed.

"Come on Kevin you know as well as I do that you want to get out there and preform."He said.

"Joe it doesn't matter anymore what I want."I said shaking my head"Besides the point that you wouldn't understand."

"Wouldn't understand what?"Joe asked"How difficult it'll be having a kid on tour."

"Exactly."I replied as I glanced in the living room where Madison was playing with Ari.

"Ari's pregnant Kevin."Joe said sighing a little"So yeah I think I know how difficult it's going to be."

I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Joe...I just........."I trailed off as I watched Madison.

I wanted to go on tour again but then I also wanted to be there for Maddie.

"Kevin Maddie can come with us."He said as he looked into the living room.

"Yeah but I can't watch her every waking minute Joe not when we're on tour."I said shaking my head.

"That's why I figured we could get a nanny."Joe said"I already got some girls together that you can interview."

I sighed as I looked back at Joe.

"Fine."I said nodding my head"But if I don't like any of them then we don't go on tour."

Joe smiled and nodded his head quickly before he headed into the living room and sat down on the floor with Maddie as he picked up one of her barbies and started to play with it.I laughed and shook my head before I turned and looked at the picture of Abbi.

"I wish you were here right now."I whispered"Then I wouldn't be having this problem."

I sighed as I turned away from it and slowly headed into the living room where everyone was.

That night was everyones turn to be at my house for dinner as much as I loved my family I hated getting together with them sometimes because it made me miss Abbi even more.Watching my parents together,Joe and Ari and then Nick with his fiance' Sarah.

"Alright Maddie we need to go get you ready."I said as I walked into the living room where she was still playing with Joe.

"Ok daddy."Madison said smiling as she walked over to me and held her hands out so that I would pick her up.

I smiled as I reached down picking her up before we headed up the stairs to her room.I sat her down on her bed before I started looking through her clothes.

"I want to wear the green dress daddy."Madison said as she watched me.

She was at the stage were she liked everything that I liked.Since my favorite color was green her favorite color was green.

"Hunny you wore that yesterday."I said"It's dirty."
"But I really want to wear it."Madison said her eyes filling with tears.

I really hated when she did that.I watched as she slowly pouted her lip out reminding me of her mother when she would do it to me when she didn't get her way with things and how I would always give in.

"Madison you heard what I said."I said sternly as I looked away from her and walked over to the closet pulling out a dress for her to wear.

I watched as tears started to fall down her little face and I sighed as I bit my lip trying to to give in as I slowly walked back over to her.I slowly put the dress on her before I set her in my lap and slowly started to brush her hair as she continued to cry.

"Come on Maddie."I said softly as I brushed her hair"Uncle Joe and Uncle Nick will love this shirt it Blue."

She sniffled and then quickly wiped her eyes.As soon as I got done with her hair she climbed out of my lap and headed out of the room and down the stairs.I sighed as I walked to my room to change my clothes.

"Kevin sweety how are you?"My mom asked as she walked into the kitchen where I was fixing dinner with Ari.She gently kissed my cheek before she walked over to Ari and gave her a hug.

"I'm good."I said as I went back to what I was doing.

"And where's my granddaughter at."She said.

"Grammy."Maddie yelled as she came running into the kitchen hugging mom.

I smiled as I watched my mom hug Maddie as she walked into the other room with her.

As we sat down to dinner I was asked to say grace.

"Daddy can I say the prayer?"Madison asked and I could only smile.

"Yeah sure sweety."I said as I watched her.

"Rub a dub dub thanks for the grub amen."Madison said with a little giggle.

Everyone around us started to laugh.

"Madison where did you get that from?"I asked.

"Uncle Joe taught me it."She said with another little giggle.

I glared at Joe and he only laughed until Ari elbowed him causing me to laugh a little and shake my head.

"Maddie why don't you try that again like I taught you."I said.

She smiled a little before she bowed her head and started the prayer again.

After she had finished with her prayer we all started to eat.

"So what is this I hear about you boys going on tour again?"My mom asked.

"Tour again?"Sarah asked confusion shown on her face as she looked at Nick.

"You didn't tell her?"Joe asked as we all looked at Nick.

"I was just waiting for the right time."Nick said sighing as he looked at Sarah"Our manager thinks it would be a good idea if we started touring again."

"Oh."Was all that Sarah said as she looked down at her plate.

"Yeah mom we might be going on tour again."Joe said as he put his arm around the back of Ari's chair.

"What about Maddie?"Mom asked.

"Well Joe set up some interviews for a nanny."I said softly as I took a bit of my food"If I find the one I'm looking for then we're going."

My mom sighed a little but she didn't say anything about it.I knew she didn't like the idea of it but I was glad that she didn't say anything else about it.

"Umm Ari and I kinda have something we want to tell everyone."Joe said with a little smile as he glanced at Arielle.

"Ok."My mom said as she looked at the two of them.

"We're having a baby."Joe said with a little smile.

After that everyone got up and walked over to them giving them all hugs.I watched as Sarah and Nick walked out of the room together a few minutes after we had gotten done eating.
