we'll we have kay, meech, and NIKI on board. i think they deserve the next chapter. hopefully it matches up to Rays magical writing abilities. =D enjoyyy. dude and its uber long too;; my bad!!!
Chapter 2;;
When she finally stepped away from her parents` dreams and towards her own, Tina found a job designing. Sure it wasn`t exactly what she had in mind, but anything that wasn`t behind a desk was fine with her. The company had approached her, asking for her help in designing stage sets for concerts and shows. Afterall, it was an opportunity to talk to famous musicians and singers, but she never expected to find something so much more than that.
She had heard of her new client before. The Jonas Brothers. Three brothers rocking out on guitars singing love ballads that had every young girl screaming and in tears. She giggle at the thought, remembering her younger days when Nsync and Backstreet Boys ruled her world.
The company she was working with adored her, her design style, and her work ethic. They gave her the opportunity to work on the Jonas project as the leader, with a few helpers in behind. This meant she got to meet face to face with the client and management to find out their ideas. Making sure she looked her best, looking like a young professional from head to toe, she stepped out of her apartment, into her car, and drove off to the local starbucks to grab a container of coffee to bring to the meeting. When she had finally arrived, she was greeted by security at the front door, and after passing, she ran into Niki. Niki was basically like her assistant, helping her on the new project, and was in love with the Jonas Brothers. She had been bouncing off the walls about the meeting which was about to take place ever since word got out that Tina was leading the project.
Niki handed Tina a folder full of papers in exchange for the coffee that Tina was clutching on to. She pushed the elevator button and they stepped inside. As the doors began to close, three boys rushed over sticking a hand out to stop the elevator. They pushed one another inside trying to catch their breath as the doors shut. The elevator music played and nobody had said a word, until a boy mumbled "Awkwardddd" under his breath. Another had raised his arm to lay a gentle smack on the back of his head as the other one giggled. Niki chuckled herself causing the boys to turn around and greet them.
"Hey how are you girls today, i`m Joe." a flirtatious Joe said as he stuck out his hand to shake with a grin across his face.
"I.. I.. I`m Niki" she finally stammered out as she shook his hand, her cheeks turning bright red.
"You must be a fan" he said when he noticed her slow reaction and cherry cheeks.
"YEAH!" she exclaimed, not bothering to hide any of her excitement.
"Sorry boys but this is our stop. It was nice riding with you" Tina quickly stated as she dragged the star strucken Niki out of the elevator and towards her office.
Niki stared back as the doors shut and asked Tina, "How could you ruin that for me!"
"Niki, they are our clients, we will see them in 10 minutes, and this was our floor. I have to grab some things before we head up, DUH" she laughed back at her, "You know, you can`t act that way around clients, we are going to be working with lots of stars."
"I know, I know" she mumbled back with a sad look on her face. "But its was the JONAS BROTHERS!" she screamed as her gloomy look quickly faded.
After gathering a few more items the two girls headed upstairs to meet with their star clients to discuss their stage design ideas for their tour. They walked inside and were greeted by management, who led them over and introduced them to the boys. "This is Kevin, Joe, and Nick" as the boys stood up and extended their hands for a formal business shake.
"Hi boys, it`s nice to meet you. I`m Tina and I will be leading your design team for the tour" she responded back as she shook each hand. "And you guys have already met Niki from our run-in earlier." Niki`s face turned red again as she formally shook each boys hands.
"Hey there Niki" Joe blurted out as he gave her the look, causing her to giggle and Kevin to nudge his side.
As the meeting got underway, there was lots of talk about "lots of lights!" and "Platforms!", and even "ramps!", each boy chiding in their opinion. Tina worked efficiently taking in each idea and jotting them down onto a pad of paper. When management had left the five alone to work together, they began talking about each other over numerous cups of coffee. Kevin kept peeking at Tina from behind his sunglasses, hoping that she wouldn`t notice. There was just something about her dark hair, glowing smile, and embarassing snort when she laughed that he liked. When their management had come back in to take them to an interview they had scheduled at a radio station in an hour, Tina thanked them for their time and began to collect her things. Niki had been flirting constantly with Joe as Tina kept reminding her that she couldn`t mix work and play. But something about that statement slipped her mind when Kevin had walked up to her, surrending a piece of paper with a number scribbled on it. She gave him a puzzling look and he told her,
"It`s just my number" through a chuckle.
"Oh, okayyy" she said, still confused. "Oh! incase I have some adjustments or ideas. Gotcha, here is mine, and if you think of anything else please let me know" she said with a smile as she wrote down her number.
He couldn`t help but laugh, wondering why giving his number was so odd. Her lack of understanding the situation caused him to blurt out,
"Well yeah, okay. We have that interview at the radio station, if you aren`t busy... it.. would be cool.. if you came to watch!"
Her cheeks were flushed as she bashfully looked down at her feet. Did he really just ask her that?
"Well, I`m only working on your project right now, I`m sure it would be fine if I classified it as business related. Could Niki come with me?" she questioned.
"Of course she can" he said as he followed everyone else out the door, "It`s at the Kiss station. I`ll see you there!"
