i have been a fan since the beginning and i have loved them ever since i first heard about them! i really dont like it when i hear about fans who hate their music and just like them for their looks, or fans who like joe and nick and not kevin! im not saying all new fans are like that...i have friends who are new fans...lol! i never got the chance to see them when they were just starting out, altho it was my dream to and i could never see them for different reasons (money, location, ect.). when i was finally able to go, i couldnt get tickets because all of the crazy fans who have only liked them for about a month! it took me MANY tries to be able to get tickets and they were only lawn seats. when i was at the concert, i couldnt help but notice that there were some fans who had amazing seats who didnt really care about anything else but their looks! i hate that with all my heart! if those boys werent that hott, i would still be in absolute love with them. those are the fans, whether its a new fan or a fan who has been there the whole journey with them, that really are their fans! another thing that gets on my nerve sometimes is when little girls who arent even old enough to be saying i wanna marry nick jonas, says that! they prolly cant even understand how genuine the guy really is! they just like him cuz everyone else does! so yeah...im really not being mean if thats how this sounds...im just letting my feelings out cuz i havent really been able to about this subject! lol! i have heard tons of people judging fans on whether they are an old fan or new fan, but that doesnt really matter one bit! its whether they are real fans or fake fans! i wanna kno wat u guys think!!!!

ok so i'm an old fan but i did first like them for their looks. i was watching tv and the poor unfortunate souls music video came on and i thought "ooo they're cute" then i listend to them and realized how awesome they sounded. and the rest was history... XD
but i'm friends with a bunch of people who hate them and who are fake fans. two of my friends like them for their looks and think kevin is ugly *makes me very mad* and my other friend just one day walks up to me and says "yea so...i've decided that nick jonas is kinda my boyfriend" the only reason she knows about the jonas brothers is because of me. and i have one friend that likes the music and their looks but thinks kevin is ugly and likes to state that on a daily basis. although i have met one girl who likes them mostly for their music and we agree that tonight is one of the best songs off ALBL. i don't know...fake fans just make me mad

ya!!! i so agree :-) i have tons of friends like that also!!! they only like them for how they look...and ya!! they are amazingly hott, but there is more to them than how they look!!!! i hate people who hate on kevin also!! kevin is so sweet and without him...there would be no jobros!

yeah. i agree with you guys. i know a lot of girls that always say "oh (joe/kevin/nick is so hott." and that's all they say. yes, they are very attravtive but there is so much more to them. i've realized that most of all the girls on this forum don't always say how hot they are. (well we do, but that's not all we say. hahaha.) a lot of us say how sweet, funny, and charming they are.
there are girls at my school and everywhere else who call themself "fans". a fan has to love their music and love the boys for their personalities not just their looks. it makes me angry because people like that get to go to their concerts and get really good seats while some true fans aren't able to go. like me. (well any seat is amazing to any real fan. whether you're sitting in the very first row or the very last.) and shanica you are right, it doesn't matter how long you've been a fan its whether you're a real or fake fan.

ya...i went to a concert with some friends and we could not get any better seats but lawn seats and we were ecstatic!!!!!! and i could tell the other true fans that were around us, but couldnt get good seats either!!!

i agree with you.
like i'm a newish fan. since 2007 anyway.
but i think as long as you are a true fan, who doesn't just like them because of their appearance, then that's all that matters.(:

I was a fan since late 2005/ early 2006 because I once had a friend in 6th grade and she said there was this really cool band called the Jonas Brothers that I needed to check out so she moved and I forgot all about that until I heard their song Mandy on Radio Disney and they sounded really awesome( I liked there music before their looks) But then on April 13th, 2007 I became officially obsessed. but as long as you are a true fan it don't matter if your an old or new fan.

i'm pretty sure that i didn't even think about their looks when i first became a fan. that might sound crazy, but i really don't think i did. i'm starting to more now, but how hot a guy was never came to my mind at first sight, lol. so i definitely don't like them just for that, although i'm not going to lie, they're absolutely GORGEOUS. let me tell ya, there's some good genes in that family. ;) but i think what makes them more attractive to me is how they are. if they had different personalities, i don't think i'd be attracted to them nearly as much. and believe me, their looks don't even account for a fraction of why i love them. i could go on and on. ;)
but as for old fans, new fans, real fans, "fake" fans. i think there are all of those out there. haha. but i don't know what else to say on the subject.

I agree with you 100%! I've only been a fan since 2007, bt that was honestly the very first time I'd EVER heard about them, so I can't really help that I ahven't been a fan as long. But I didn't like thme for their looks. I liked them for the music. At first, I didn't even think Nick and Joe were all that cute. I mean, I got the CD, looked at the cover, was like "Oh, okay..." and then listened to the music non-stop, not even thinking about their looks. Of course, it didn't take me long to fall in love with their hotness either, but..... Yeah, you get the point.
But I can't tell you how mad it makes me when I see the fans who only like them for their looks or because everyone else does. I bet half of them don't even know that they've been in the music business LOOOOOOOOOOONG before 2007. The go to their concerts because they wanna look all cool and be like "Oh yeah, I went and saw them FRONT ROW!", yet I bet they couldn't name 3 songs off It's About Time (funny, I'm listening to one of the oldest songs in the Jonas book right now, Higher Love!). And then, the little girls, like my cousin, who's eight, who are always saying "I wanna marry Nick, but Kevin is ug;y and Joe is okay..." UGH THAT DRIVES ME INSANE! It's like dude, serisously, little girl, get some sense knocked into you! THEY ARE WAY TOO OLD FOR YOU! And Kevin is AMAZING!
I also hate it when some old fans will be like "Oh well, only people who ahve been fans since 2006 are true fans." Because ya know what, thats not true. The jonas Brothers have said them selves, they don't care how long we've been fans. A true fan is a true fan. I love them for their music, their personalities, the fact that I can look up to them as good, smart, poliet, respectful Christian rolemodels. Of course, I love their music more than anything. I couldn't live without Eternity, or Please Be Mine, or A Little Bit Longer, or Dear God, or Hollywood, or any of the rest of their music. They ahve amazing, inspirational lyrics that are apprpriate for fans of all ages, they have the voices of angels, and they are the most talented musicians I've ever heard! I consider myslef a true fan/ people are always saying to me "You only like them b/c everyone else does", but really, I liked them before anyone I know liked them/ And even now, when one of my friends is starting to turn away from them, I still love thme to death!
